Lay Off Tottenham's Bentley

I do wish everybody would lay off poor David Bentley. Is it any wonder the guy had downed a few? He is trapped between drowning his sorrows after the disappointing showing of Tootatthem Not So Hotspurs last season, and the celebration of finishing in the top four in the coming season - an annual event which takes place during August of every season.

He is, as well, simply following the example set by his club captain - albeit he hit a lamppost rather than a club bouncer. Meanwhile poor Jermaine Defoe is suing the police because he was detained when stopped behind the wheel whilst appealing a driving ban. Impressive self discipline down at the Lane since 'Arry took over!

Sad, bitter man.

You should be more concerned with the likes of Boa (spit in your face) Morte and that very pleasent chap Mr Dyer, who I think was last seen out of the treatment room having a scuffle with Lee Bowyer.

You should be more concerned with Milwall coming down and smashing your ground up...it's not like you can afford to have it repaired.

There is a slightly bigger debate here.

In my opinion, professional footballers shouldn't drink. They are paid obscene amounts of money and all they have to do is stay in shape and play footy.

It's a World Cup year as well! Bentley should be busting a gut to get back into the Spuds first team and back into the England reckoning.

This was the same twat who pulled out of the Under-21's because he was tired?! Probably wanted to go on a summer bender with his mates.

I know it's not any better at West Ham, we had Cole and Kovac get caught drink driving last season.

These guys are priviled but don't realise it.

In the past I have commented here upon some of the more sensible & less vulgar postings which prove that their authors are a credit to their club as well as a true football supporters.

King is in constant pain & a real man for still playing despite it while Bentley has my sympathy for his poor form plus my hope that he can rekindle it as he is gifted.

But this posting is pathetic and designed purely to get bites from THFC supporters. Grow up you fool & find some class, if at all possible as it shames your club not mine.

i couldn't agree more apache. to the tottenham fans, i wrote in the same tone when kovac, tristan and cole were all done for drink related fauxpas. you don't hear about federer, murray or the spanish tennis player getting pissed up do you. they are true professionals.
