Perfect Results!

Well done to the Mancs and Arsenal, that's just what we needed. Pompey must have that sinking feeling now. Even a win will leave them in bottom place. Only 14 points and more than half way through the season spells huge problems. It is not impossible for them to survive but it is very unlikely, even without the financial quagmire they apparently find themselves in.

Wigan meanwhile are now deep in trouble with a goal difference which could prove a killer come the end of the season. Courtesy of those around us, that 2-0 defeat at Spurs is looking like a good result!

I'm just hoping two results don't come back and bite us in the arse as they were pitiful. 3-1 to Bolton whose last results read 2-2 Hull, 1-1, 3-3 Man City and 1-2 Wolves. They play 4 teams in the bottome 6 and we're the only one they beat. Then there's the 1-0 reverse to Wigan. A tam that shipped 9 to the Spuds and 5 to Manure, the 2nd time this season that result has happened. They also shipped 4 to Arsenal and POMPEY. Now I know errors cost us in those games. First the ref who inexplicably blew for half time despite Cole bearing down on goal and Green's handling agst a 'slippery' ball at Bolton. We need to ensure we take Maximum points in the return fixtures agst thes two clubs as well as the majority of the clubs around us who we happen to face in the next few weeks. By the end of Feb I believe our fate will be decided one way or the other!

You've forgotten Hull away mate where we surrender that two goal lead and Sunderland away where the same thing happened despite playing against 10 men for all the second half and a bit. Those 4 lost points plus another 2 lost at home to 10 man Fulham account for our desperate situation. If we were on 24 points now, we would be 10th, with Fulham only 2 points ahead of us. If we go down, those 6 points will be regreted much more than the annual defeat at Bolton and a not too surprising at the time loss at Wigan!

Guys, you just can't underestimate how important the twevlth man at home is going to be ... we need to roar every last ounce out of the team who ever plays ... if we can drive them forward for the entire 90 minutes and show to them like the Pompey faithful did two years ago then we'll be fine .... time for all to unite or its fizzy pop stuff next season ... lets not be a Newcastle where the boardroom politics split the fans on the terrace ... and lets note how passionate the Geordies are ..

The 12th man went AWOL under Turds Tom and hasn't been located since. Too busy stuffing tuna sandwiches in his gob I fear. Either that or Turds put him in a coma from which he hasn't recovered. Upton Park is more a morgue than a couldron these days. If survival is based on the performance of the 12th man, I fancy Hull, Burnley, Stoke and Pompey ahead of ourselves!
