Play Dixon - We Might Qualify For Clubcard Points!

The Official Site is proudly trumpeting that Dixon has scored again! It was only a friendly of course, and it was only against Grays Athletic, but he scored which suggests that he at least knows how to play up front.

He probably isn't fully fit, but that didn't stop Zola picking Dyer did it? With Hines and Cole unavailable, Jimenez useless, Diamanti seemingly reluctant to venture into the penalty box, Nouble considered inferior to Da Costa as a target man and Sears out on loan, Dixon may be our only option.

Picking him may not result in us collecting any Premiership points but, given his red hair, Tesco might pledge a few thousand Clubcard Points to make amends for their disgraceful Christmas card. And we could use the Clubcard points to buy Airmiles to pay for Jimenez's return flight to Milan!

As for Santa loving ginges, that is patently untrue! Surely every one of them has "Any hair colour instead of Ginger" at the top of his Christmas list every year; and does Santa ever deliver?

Yeah, I guess so..otherwise, we can try and put on Montano and Abdulla. They'll do better than Jiminez, that's for sure.

I've been shouting about Dixon as well but guess what! He doesn't even have a squad number!

I know. But we can award him one can't we? How about the number 9? Or have we retired that in honour of our medical team?

I think giving the kids a go is the only option,
and I would like to think that these kids would have a bit of fire about them, whilst wanting to prove thay can cut it in the big time....and thats more than can be said about the rest of the squad.

Maybe selling all of the big name charlie's would not be that bad, one step backwards to take two steps forward.

But this would mean a few years in the championship to let them grow & develop. At very least we would have our club built on solid foundations and hopefully a owner who cares about our plight, if not i can see us being the next Leeds, going down a couple of divisions.

And no im am not duxbury,
but i must sign up & get an ID soon

Hammersfan, you may or may not agree with what i say, but i'll be honest. The squad seem to be affected by what is happening to the club at the moment. The uncertainty. Sure, we are missing players that when they come back, will strengthen the squad. Many of the players are nowhere near the quality that they were last year. Case in point Ilunga. Last year he was running from the back & was one of our best players. Not this year. Why? Gabbidon, just come back from a long injury, but not the player he was. Even Green doesn't seem to have his mind on the job. They need to forget what is happening off field & get on with the job for crying out loud. We could just about field a team where half of them are internationals. Jimenez needs to get some videos of Ossie Ardiles & watch them, then watch them again. You can't run around like a headless chicken in British football. They'll pick you off. We need to get a bit of mongrel in defence. That's what we lost in Neill & Collins. Faubert is not a RB. He is a winger. Always was. He can run pretty quick & get a cross in. He must hate being at the back. It doesn't suit him. We have no width any more. Everything comes down the centre from Parker. We have the ideal opportunity against Chelsea. No one expects us to get anything. Chelsea are not infallible but if we let them run, they will carve us to pieces. As Mick Doohan used to say, sometimes you gotta get the mongrel in ya.

Alright Winston, I got the message first time around LOL.

I think the players have lost confidence in Zola's tactics, in each other and in the Board. Some of them probably believed Duxbury's project bullshit until Collins was sold. Then the truth dawned! I suspect they feel betrayed by Duxbury's lies and Zola's naivity.
