Owen Coyle Taking Over Bolton Would Be Perfect!

How wonderful would it be if Owen Coyle took over at Bolton? That would bugger Burnley - heads would drop immediately and they would become absolute bankers for the drop. If the Admiral jumps ship before the water even gets choppy, how can the crew perform with any confidence or passion? And you can bet your life that Coyle would seek to cherry pick that Burnley squad too!

Meanwhile, Coyle's style is totally unsuited to the current Bolton squad. They have been raised on Allardyce and Megson. Lee tried to get them playing football and look what happened! You can't make a silk purse out of a battering ram! Come on Coyle, make the switch! It's called killing two birds with one stone!

Looks as if compensation has already been agreed! It's happening! Maybe the gods are on our side after all!

And they'll probably no longer be our bogey team :D!

It's exactly what the hammers want but a disaster for Burnley but I'm hoping it might just have the opposite effect. Nice blog, good read and very funny, but glad you're not a true Claret!!

Cheers mate. In any other season, under any other circumstances, Burnley would be my second team this season. Your fightback at Man City and against ourselves were awesome. Sadly, I have to wish you ill this season. Blood is thicker than claret!

I have a feeling he won't take it. I wouldn't if I was him.

There'll be better jobs for him in the summer. He just needs to keep Burnley up and then take the Newcastle job when they get promoted for example. Bolton is a dead end job. Coyle will be worse off after it if he does take it.

I think that whether we stay up or not depends far more on what we do rather than what happens to the teams around us. We have to get another 22-24 points to stay in the Premiership. That's what worries me.

Having said that, I totally agree with you that it would be bad news for both Burnley and Bolton (for the reasons you explain). I would much prefer to see Bolton go down rather than Burnley. Burnley, at least, tries to play football!

I hate Bolton (present day Wimbledon minus the crazy gang bit) nothing would make me happier than see them relegated this season. Why the hell would Owen Coyle turn down the Celtic job at the start of the season only to take this lavatory attendent's job now. Bye Bye Bolton.
