West Ham Secure Olympic Stadium....

...nearly. Adrian Warner, who looks like he should be married to a Cheeky Girl, has exclusively announced that West Ham will be declared the preferred bidder for the Olympic Stadium on Friday. Boris or Cameron could still over rule the decision but that is very unlikely.

Of course, exclusives are dangerous. Remember how we were appointing Martin O'Neill last month, only to end up with a Joe Ordinary Championship midfielder called O'Neil? I suspect Warner is just grabbing a bit of personal glory, backing a hunch rather than working on anything concrete.

I hope so anyway because I want to stay at Upton Park!

Stay there then - you'll be lonely.

Dodgy link to the cheeky girls there, but then perspective's a funny thing. It's only a bus ride from Upton Park to Stratford, but it's a million miles from the Boleyn to the Olympic stadium!

I wo'n't, there will be hundreds of people living in their Barratt apartments. Boleyn Mansions, a joint development between Barratt East London Ltd and Blue Movie New Homes Ventures. All West Ham season ticket holders will be entitled to a free integrated dishwasher and a 1% reduction on pre release Early Bird prices. Of course, once the West Ham mugs have been mopped up, prices will be reduced by 10% to attract the savy purchasers. Look at us in our shiny new stadium with an additional £90million of debt! Meanwhile, Sullivan & Gold have recovered their initial outlay for purchasing the club, and some. Now, who wants to buy West Ham in the Olympic Stadium? £100 million and take over the debt.

It's a link Sullivan and Gold would appreciate, albeit the girls are a little over dressed in that picture!

The Spurs fans are all pleased and I can't say I blame them. The strangest thing was that the vast majority of our lot were against going there with a running track until Spurs stuck their whore in; then suddenly a majority are in favour! Isn't that cutting off your rowlocks to spite your boat race?

great news for our great club. now we can grow and became one of the biggest clubs in england, if not europe. just as a club like west ham should be. i cant wait to see the new stadium.

I was hoping they decided to take a serious look at Spurs' bid which was the reason behind the initial delay. Damn.

Their proposal does make more sense in my view.

I would just like to make one thing clear to our fans. Brady is out there gobbing off how our furthest seat will be 10 yards closer to the pitch than the furthest seat at Wembley. It's deceptive crap. We should be concerned with the distance of the nearest seat not the furthest. Take care of the nearest seat and the furthest will take care of itself.

Wembley is a 90,000 seater and our Olympic proposal will be a 60,000. That's 30,000 difference. So to have the furthest seat just 10 yards more in than that of Wembley's is a disgrace. That means that Wembley can seat almost 30,000 fans closer to the pitch than we will be able to at the OS. You can see why Brady didn't put it like that. Does anything other than bullshit come out of that woman's mouth? I listen to her sometimes and I think 'what the ***?' I am as astonished how some people make it in football, as I am astonished how some people make it in business.

Yeah but I know how they feel Marty!

LOL I'm sure our owners will be deeply troubled that Marty and Fanno won't be going. By the way how often do you two actually go to watch West Ham?

00.25, Just where did you buy those claret and blue goggles? Out of the back of one of Sulli's top shelfers i reckon.

On the back of your logic, Newcastle should be 3rd in the league with their 52,400 capacity and Sunderland should be playing European football with the meaty 49,000 capacity at the SoL.

Large capacity does not equal good results. North Korea's national stadium is the largest in the world at 150,000. Wouldnt dare say what they are though. I could do without Kim Jong Il's mid rangers flying overhead!

Wasn't the original plan that after the Olympics the capacity would be reduced to 25,000 and it would be a multi-use arena – athletics plus other sports and concerts could be staged there?

What happened to that idea? Somehow that seems to have been forgotten and it was opened up for us and Spurs to bid.

The club keep saying that 'many' fans support the move to the OS but I don't and I'm yet to meet a single fellow Hammer that supports it either.

It seems to be more lip service and propoganda from the two Davids. If they genuinely want to survey the fans for their opinion then do it. Send one of those patronising bloody emailings to every season ticket holder and club member and then publish the results!

They won't though because I have a feeling that the answer will a resounding 'no'.

I'm not against leaving UP but only if it's for a better solution. The OS is simply not suitable for football and the club has compromised many key aspects of our needs to get it.

For example, how the hell are they going to put a cricket wicket in the middle of our pitch during the summer without messing it up? Ridiculous idea. Anyone who's ever worked on developinig a wicket would know how stupid the idea of playing cricket on a rugby or football pitch is. Why don't they already know or care about this?

Also because of our hugely increased capacity, many fans that I've spoken to are thinking about giving up their full price, expensive season tickets and taking up cheaper last minutes seat deals for only the better Category A games like Man U, Arsenal etc.

This move could spectacularly backfire on the Davids and I've a feeling that their assumptions on the lemming like tendencies of Hammers faithful could finally be misplaced this time.

Revolver - I believe it is still envisaged as a multi purpose stadium. Brady was fantasising in her column about watching the opening game of the 2014 season after having been to the stadium the night before to see Madonna exercising her zimmer frame. She's really got the pulse of the nation hasn't she!

Alfie - I've been wondering about the cricket option as well. Are you going to get just two for a boundary on the short sides? Or knowing the circus that is Twenty 20 they're going to introduce that old favourite "six and out"!

I would support the move if like Spurs were going to do, we demolished the running track. It is so hard to get to Upton Park from outer Essex, but Stratford would be easy enough for most people, and because of this I think support would increase. How ever, one must be able to see the detail of the game and Stani is correct, it is how far away the nearest seats are compared to Wembley. Due to the OS being a quarter smaller than Wembley the distance of the back seats from the pitch are irrelevant

Just to make a point stay at upton park and we will continue on our shitty path of relegation or occasional midtable move to stratford yes theres more debt but do you really think long term this running track will be there remember when it first come out they werent interested in your bid unless we kept the track now spurs have come in things change how likly is it to change again whos to say we wont get pissed off with the track and they agree to ditch it we need this move to ever compete with the likes of arsenal and tottenham
