Collison MUST be retained.

This is getting bloody silly. West Brom have bid £2.5m and offered to treble Collison's £4,000 per week salary if he joins. Treble it? We should cut the crap and pay him £25,000 a week to get that contract signed.

How the hell can Parker be worth £83,000 a week and Collison be on just £4,000? Is it any wonder that all sense of team work disappeared at the club?

Apparently, contract negotiations with Collison have stalled. Are we surprised if West Brom's £12,000 a week salary offer is deemed more than competitive?

If we allow Collison to go then a very clear signal is being given that Sullivan and Gold have only one priority - to reduce the debt. We have a "squad" of 16 players as things stand and Collison is one of the best of them. To let him go would be criminal.

If any of you are on Twitter, twatter Gold now and make your feelings clear on this one! Hines can fcuk off; Collison must be retained!

You are jumping the gun anyway, I can assure you that West Brom have not made any offer for him. They do have an interest in him but any talk of offers and trebling wages is completely false information at this point.

This talk is most likely to be the result of the players representatives trying to put pressure on the West Ham board to get the contract talks moving along and get their client a better deal.

After your Chairman's disgraceful behaviour and derogatory bids for Dorrans last year, it's a true pleasure to see the shoe being on the other foot...

Jack must be retained! Players like him are the future for the club!
This young man is an international, with a great future in front of him.
To allow him to go to West Brom would be criminal! It would be a waste of his potential talent.
This needs to be nutured at West Ham, he will develope as a player because the club know him, the coaches understand him and can support him!
For goodness sake a player of his quality is getting £20K a week anywhere, sort it West Ham and move on!

we don't want to sell, he dosen't want to go, news of contract talks hit the rags and all of a sudden theres a story to be had, in all honesty if he is on 4k then he deserves a long contract and a pay rise ad these things take weeks to thrash out if you do it propperly, no story im afraid, it took spence 3 or 4 weeks to sign a new deal, its just the natural process, no way has a deal stalled! the media just like to make things up.

Can I make a plea for a bit of calm? The transfer window is the silliest of silly seasons for the media - as I have said before, we will hold some players we didn't expect to- lose some we didn't.

I'd mourn the loss of Jack more than any squad member but if he went ( and I dont think he'll be off)it wouldn't be the end of the world.

As to worries about a thin squad; I think this is a sympton of an odd transfer environment. Just now there are fully twenty or thirty players waiting to be shipped out of Manchester, Liverpool Arsenal and Chelsea, nevermind the better than usual quality of free's doing the rounds. I think the player merry-go-round will unblock in the next couple of weeks.

Meantime Sam is wise to look at the squad he's got in action before spending money we don't have on a punt- take your points made previously about the worrying lack of fullbacks but let's save the panic for august if there are no incoming by then.

West Ham, a once respectable club, are heading into the abyss. With the Chuckle Brothers at the helm, financial difficulties, and a prospective move into a huge stadium, things really do look bleak for West Sham.
