So Allardyce has ditched 4-4-2 and put all his eggs in the 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 formation. There remains a home formation and an away formation, with Diop figuring instead of Collison away from Upton Park and Collison coming in to add more attacking impetus for home games. Hopefully the set up with enable Nolan to operate in the hole.
