Scott Parker Premiership Player of the Month!

Congratulations to Scott Parker, Harry Redknapp and Tottenham Hotspurs. What a fantastic bargain Parker is proving to be! No wonder some clubs were prepared to part with a lot more than £5m to prise Scotty away from West Ham. What a shame that the Hammers Hero refused to go anywhere other than Spurs, forcing down his price and cheating West Ham of an additional £3m!

But let's not be begrudging here. Three Tottenham players were nominated for the award - and Walker, Modric and Van der Vaart were completely overlooked - and Scotty got the nod. I would have given it to Van Persie personally but what do I know?

100% agree with you on this one mate. How on earth did Van Persie not get it? Oh well...well done Scotty

He won it the previous month which apparently rules him out!

Then it should be renamed to: Player of the month...unless the player of this month was also the player of last month, then the player of the month can't be player of the month, as the 2nd best player of the month gets the player of the month award.

Second? Wasn't that Van der Vaart? It was in my book!

HF, you mention in a lower thread about the difference between Parker & Nolan. But for me, a better 'exchange' by a long long way has been Faye [let go by Pulis] for that great 'top 4 club' man, Upson [wanted by Pulis]. Give me the old boy Faye anyday and Allardyce over [such as] Pulis. Regardless of the [supposedly] championship quality of certain players [whatever that really means], Allardyce has got them playing a bit like a ....team. Even Faubert - nearly always slagged off on various forums - looks like he's regaining the enthusiasm for the game that he presumably had in France years ago. Neither Zola or Grant could get anything good out of him -0 after his injury - but Allardyce has managed it.

I suspect Faubert has found his level and position mate. Can't see him impressing in the Prem personally.

If any more proof were really necessary this once again illustrates that you know nothing.
