Sam had deals lined up for Carew and Piquionne. So much so that he pulled them both out of the squad for the Ipswich game. Sadly the deals did not happen. I doubt we will see much of them for the rest of the season. They may even get loaned out somewhere if we are lucky
Carew and Piquionne are only here because nobody wants them, Carew is out of contract in 5 month so a few months in the stands won't do us much harm, Piquionne won't see the first team again and hopefully can be shipped out on loan. As for Morrison he is a midfielder and Vaz Te will play the wide forward role that Piquionne played so ineffectivly. So that leaves us with Maynard, Baldock and Cole as our strikers. What was the alternative? don't sign anymore forwards and be stuck with unproven kids and useless washed up lumps. Granted it does leave us a bit top heavy but apart from Carew (who was a gamble on a 1 year deal) the other lumps are from a past regime
I highly doubt that will be the bench for Saturday. George John will b on ther possibly hall and either baldock or maynard. Piq and Carew won't hav any chance now bfs has signed Maynard and Vaz Te. Plus the fact they r both big men and why wud he need cole Carew and piq? Carew if he's fit will b on ther I think we won't see much more of Freddie the fly tipper.
