Diame Signs

Let's hope his ticker can cope with the roller coaster ride that is West Ham United. Now we need two full backs, a centre back, a midfielder or two, and a central striker.

HF, I'm sure it can, especially as you give us all many of the palpitations in the name of eliciting debate. Don't forget we also need another wide player....with pace. JMan43

I think we need a new right back and left back but also someone like spector but actually good who can play across the back four. Two wingers who have pace and can cross and 1 striker. Also need most importantly an experienced center back to play with tomkins. Then we need to rid of the following - O'neill, piq, demel, o'brien, sears and possibly Barrera. We then need to make sure rob hall, and potts are in and around the team why giving montano a chance off the bench aswell. I wouldnt mind seeing george moncur given a run out at some stage.

Poor old Leeds fans ! All they have to look forward to is the return of Colin Wanker from holiday and his confrontation with Master Bates. Have a good season, watching your old videos of Revie's Thugs in action.

Yes, JS has twittered that Diame will sign a 3 year contract. He previously said the plans were to buy 5 players (GK, CB, MF, Winger and CF). The budget is about £20m.

Jussi has since signed so DG is being consistent when he says 4 more to be signed. Diame will be the MF signing so with luck that leaves £20m for the other 3 players.

We are being linked with any number of players so who knows but Zaha and Jarvis are probably top of the shopping list for the wing position. It looks like the Yak is off to China so Grant Holt is probably the No 1 striker target.
Scott Dann would be an obvious choice for CB and hopefully Mcartney will sign a permanent deal. We might still be weak at RB and there is little cover at CB but there may be some more surprises to come. COYI

Fred, I've got to take issue with this line: Then we need to rid of the following - O'neill, piq, demel, o'brien, sears and possibly Barrera.

O'Neill - one of our best players in the run in to the end of the season. Give the guy a break he's only just come back from a career threatening injury. Look how long it took Collison to show any form.

Piq - and who is going to want him and be able to pay the wages we're giving him?

Demel - a bad final, but another coming back from injury and showed some glimpses of why he has been capped by France during his few games back.

O'Brien - great squad player for me. Steady eddie, hasn't really let us down.

Sears - agree

Barrera - lets give him a run in the side. We need a pacy winger that can create and score and we've got one that does it regularly for Mexico.

You're also talking about blooding youngsters in the premier league that struggled to set the championship alight.

I'm just relieved Sam is the manager and not you, ha ha.

I think with the bigger subs bench in the premier league we'll see more of the youngsters because we can afford to put them on the bench and bring them on when we're ahead and cruising (hopefully) or behind and need a miracle.

But other than that, spot on Fred.

Thanks 01:51
This is a very good signing. I think he needs to work on his finishing, though that's not his main job, of course. But in tackling and carrying the ball forward, he looks a giant in midfield. The pressure off our back four and the freedom for our strikers that we needed.

Mighty Wet Spam sign Wigan cast off.

Well that's gonna knock Rooney off the front pages for sure.

Ah well - at least he was free.

Are you calling yourself Jack Sullivan, HF?

Elf72 -

o'brien - Struggled 2nd half of the season and is to injury prone.

Demel - are you serious he had one good game in a west ham shirt, useless defending, cant tackle, ges skinned easily and unlike mccartney demel cant deal with pace.

Piquionne - He will be sold or a mutual agreement to release him of his contract will be agreed.

O'neill - He wasnt one of our best players at all. He had 2 good games and was in the team due to lack of options and because he could run around alot, couldnt create, couldnt cross, cant dribble and is clumsy.

Im taking about youngsters who made cameos and looked impressive when they came on or played and players who did well out on loan and tell me if your losing one nil with one minutes to go or winning a gamee 2-0 with 20 mins to go what is the harm of blooding the youngsters?
