Hey - I do think you're in for a long hard season and wouldn't be surprised to see 'big Sam' sacked 1/2 way into the season leaving the hammers fighting a relegation battle and losing. I think your squad is a very handy Championship squad but not a PL squad. Spend wisely 'Big Sam', spend it all 'Big Sam': you need some quality players ready to hit the ground running - surely that long-ball stuff that got you into the play-offs wont be enough in the PL. Why don't you just give us Maynard for free as he's not PL quality is he? He'd be ok for the subs' bench at ER though - maybe - then we could just off-load him back to Bristol.

I am a season ticket holder at ER held it for 27 years despite growing up in a town 8 miles from Derby and 9 miles from Nottingham. Last few season I have felt the life being sucked out of my beloved Leeds Utd...away games with a few beers and better atmosphere kept most of us going...but now there is renewed optimism. knocker is buying well and we have a ready made fans favourite in Rodolph. All we want is a chance to challenge and a bit of quality on the pitch to match the quality off it. West Ham reserve or not Maynard will improve a squad that last season was defined by Simon Graysons scattergun approach to loan signings.
